Molina, aka Danish-Chilean producer and composer Rebecca Molina, is one of a cohort of musicians from Copenhagen currently making waves who studied at Denmark’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory. That list also includes ML Buch, Erika de Casier, Astrid Sonne and Clarissa Connelly, so Molina is in excellent company, and very much deserves to be spoken of alongside such talents.

After 10 EP releases from 2016 to 2024, Molina finally released her debut album last year, and it didn't disappoint. "Like the best shoegaze records," Pitchfork concluded in its review, "When You Wake Up plays with listeners’ perceptions, specifically the ability to detect underlying rhythms for ourselves." 

Support comes from st frances, the grunge-pop project of Barcelona-based British-Spanish artist Frances Ribes Renshaw, which has been compared to PJ Harvey and Caroline Polacheck.
