Catalan singer-songwriter Monica Guech comes to perform at Casa Batlló as part of its Magical Nights summer concert series. Born in Liverpool to an English father and Catalan mother, she’s now based in London. She began honing her musical craft early - enrolling in classical piano and singing lessons, then diving into modern genres like jazz, funk, gospel, and pop in Barcelona’s Tot Música school and the Liceu Conservatory.
Embracing gospel in the Gospel Messengers choir and later “Gospel en Femenino,” she toured Catalunya and grew into a powerful, soulful performer. As a solo artist, she gained national attention through television appearances on Eurovisión and The Voice, leading to the release of her debut album Soulove in 2015.
At Magical Nights, she’ll perform songs by her favourite artists such as Alicia Keys, Bill Withers, Bob Marley and Sam Smith, as well as songs from her first album, Soulove. Don’t miss an unforgettable night of music under the stars.
