Mostra, a small-scale festival that does a brilliant job of booking the best in minimal and leftfield shades of techno year in year out, celebrates its fifth edition here with four days of events at Casa Montjuic and the Vall d’Hebron Olympic Pavilion. Independence and a boutique, bespoke experience is Mostra's raison d'etre – "an alternative to the macro-festivals and the massive, commercial and rather impersonal offerings of other major events held in the city".

Casa Montjuic hosts the festival's "Opening Ceremony" on Thursday, with live sets from Dania & Rupert Clervaux and The Transcendence Orchestra. Friday's programme at Vall d’Hebron Olympic Pavilion runs from 5pm to 3am, with sets from artists including Angel Molina, upsammy and Rachael, while Saturday at the same venue runs from noon to 3am and features sets from Surgeon, Steve Bicknell and Muted. Sunday's bill runs from noon until 11pm, with sets from Aerae b2b Presha, Patrick Russell and XDB among others. Check RA for tickets and further details.
