Mushroomhead began in Cleveland in 1993, when drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton brought together musicians from several local bands for a masked side project. The disguises preserved their anonymity for years to come, but the theatrical horror film-inspired image stuck as their fierce live shows built an underground following.

Early albums Mushroomhead, Superbuick and M3 established their mix of alternative metal, industrial electronics, heavy percussion and unique vocals. The compilation XX carried that sound to a wider audience, followed by 2003’s XIII and enduring tracks including “Sun Doesn’t Rise” continued their evolution. Their ninth album, 2024’s Call the Devil, maintains their heavy metal sounds and has been taking them to festival stages across the US.

Now they’re returning to Europe after several years away, bringing the same elaborate costumes, masks, water drums and three decades of material.
