"Pure Americana, pure roadhouse, showing that youth is not at odds with quality." The Michigan-born Myron Elkins first caught attention with his band, The Dying Breed, who performing in local bars and venues in their home state before breaking onto the national scene. His solo music draws on the influence of classic outlaw country, blues, and southern rock and channels influences such as Waylon Jennings, Chris Stapleton and The Black Keys.

Youth is not at odds with quality, and youth is also not at odds with a gravelly voice that sounds as if it has been marinated in several more decades of life experience and heartache. "Too damn young to sound this old, and too damn young to be this good," as a review of his excellent second album put it. Believe us, the fuss around him is more than warranted.
