New Tango Project

New Tango Project offers a unique blend of tango, jazz and a hint of rock, creating a modern sound that honours and draws inspiration from each of these genres.
Formed in 2016, the group aims to reinterpret tango and jazz through original compositions and a fresh perspective. Consisting of Darío Polonara (bandoneón), Federico Salgado (double bass), Ramiro Rosa (drums) and Guido Di Blasi (electric guitar), the group explores the roots of Argentine music while embracing the essence of jazz.
The group has released three albums to date: New Tango Project (2017), Caos (2021) and their latest, Fricciones (202425), all of which have been produced and released by FRESH SOUND RECORDS. Their latest album offers a film-like listening experience, inviting the audience to explore the realm of imagination beyond visual constraints. It encourages us to take a deep dive into uncertainty, breaking free from the ordinary.
