Oscar and the Wolf, the musical project of Belgian artist Max Colombie, brings his lush pop sound to Apolo. Known for crafting immersive atmospheres that blur the lines between euphoria and melancholy, his performances are as cinematic as they are intimate.
Oscar and the Wolf first gained international attention with the single "Orange Sky" in 2013, which got them support slots for the likes of Lou Reed, but gained critical acclaim and success with debut album Entity, released in April 2014. This album departed from the sound of Colombie's indie folk EPs and ventured into a new electronic sound. His follow-up albums, Infinity (2017) and The Shimmer (2021), expand that palette with grander production.
Originally a collaborative band before evolving into Colombie’s solo-led project, Oscar and the Wolf has built an international following through striking live shows and a visual identity steeped in glamour, vulnerability and nocturnal allure.
