Pastis & Buenri are living history of Catalunya’s makina scene. David Álvarez and David Pàmies met as teenagers on Barcelona’s early ’90s rave circuit, later becoming resident DJs at clubs including Xque and Pont Aeri, where their euphoric sets helped define a generation of local club culture.

Their sound blends bold beats, hard trance and hardcore, with releases including “Pildo”, “In Vino Veritas”, “I’m Sailing” and the DJ Makina compilations cementing their cult status. After makina’s mainstream decline, the duo found a new audience through appearances at Primavera Sound and Boiler Room, helping spark the genre’s unlikely revival.

This Nitsa session takes things back to basics: Pastis & Buenri, all night, playing exclusively on vinyl. It’s the perfect opportunity for younger ravers to discover why these two Davids remain so cherished.
