Ibero-American composer and producer Rafael Anton Irisarri has been making music for more than two decades, and has developed a sound that perfectly walks the line between ambient, experimental, and modern classical, and has been described by the BBC as "a magical mix of music, space and atmosphere”.

Born in New York but based for many years in the Pacific Northwest, his slow-moving, immersive soundscapes are made using analogue synthesisers, treated guitars, field recordings and digital processing. His music often explores themes of memory, decay and the passage of time, and foregrounds dense, textured layers of sound over conventional melody or rhythm.

Irisarri truly lives music – when he's not working on his own compositions, he is one of the most in-demand mastering engineers in electronic music, and has worked with a huge list of impressive names including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Terry Riley, William Basinski, Grouper, MONO, Devendra Banhart and Julianna Barwick. Doors for this live show are at 8.30pm, and Irisarri plays at 9pm.
