Record Store Day 2025
By Charlotte Stace

Founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner, Record Store Day is a celebration of vinyl culture starring independent record stores from the USA. Special vinyl editions, CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for this day, while hundreds of artists from the USA and various countries around the world make special appearances and performances in stores.
Music lovers will flock to their favourite shops to browse exclusive drops, and catch live DJ sets and gigs. This year’s edition features over 300 limited releases, from remastered classics to new tracks. Among the most anticipated are The Cure’s picture disc edition of The Head on the Door and Pete Shelley’s Yesterday Is Not Here: Radio Sessions 1979–1983.
This year, the events will take place at independent record stores like Revólver Records, where the day kicks off with a performance from Catalan band Xiula.
