Robert Finley
By Charlotte Stace

American singer Robert Finley brings his blend of blues, soul and gospel to Sala Apolo. Born in Bernice, Louisiana, he spent decades performing on the streets and singing gospel before releasing his debut album, Age Don't Mean a Thing, in 2016, at the age of 62.
His amazingly raspy voice and natural talent soon caught the attention of Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The pair went on to collaborate on several albums, including Goin' Platinum! (2017), Sharecropper's Son (2021) and Black Bayou (2023), drawing on the rich musical traditions of the American South. His latest release, Hallelujah! Don't Let The Devil Fool Ya (2025), leans further into his gospel roots, with tracks such as “Can't Take My Joy” bringing plenty of soul.
And being in his seventies doesn’t stop him - he continues to tour internationally, winning over audiences with his incredible voice and charismatic performances.
