Ruïnosa y las Strippers de Rahola
By Charlotte Stace

Ruïnosa y las Strippers de Rahola are bringing their bold and provocative “Dictadura Travesti” tour to Apolo. The event will feature supporting acts LUCY and Permalove, who add to the evening’s fusion of music, drag performance and political satire.
Based in Barcelona, the group defines itself as a “subnopunk travesti band”, blending punk, indie and rock with outrageously fabulous drag aesthetics. Their lyrics are irreverent and politically charged, touching on themes such as LGBTQ+ rights, Catalan identity and anti-establishment resistance.
The band features four drag alter egos: Ruïnosa, Kalva Klein, Nico Lokao and La Marrana Jurásica. Together, they have become a key force in Barcelona’s underground scene, earning acclaim at queer festivals and performance art spaces locally and abroad. With releases like the EP Nuestra Infancia Travestida (2023) and the full album Dictadura Travesti (2024), the group is a force for art, activism and spectacle in a way that defies genre and convention.
