Singer Ry Cuming - better known by his stage name RY X - comes to perform live at Sala Apolo. The surfer-turned-singer grew up on Woodford Island, an idyllic part of New South Wales in Australia. As a teenager he listened to Pearl Jam, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Jeff Buckley, and started writing his own music at 16. In 2006, his song “Let Your Spirit Fly" appeared on the soundtrack of the film Hoot. After gaining recognition, he made the move to Los Angeles, where he was signed by Jive Records, and released his self-titled debut album in 2010.
Since then he’s released 4 studio albums in total, toured the world and won a Grammy. He’s collaborated with orchestras (the LA Philharmonic and London Philharmonic), and written music for some of the biggest names in the business: Drake, Diplo, Black Coffee and John Legend.
