Barcelona’s Sónar festival needs little introduction. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, it has become a world-famous celebration of cutting-edge music and new media art where renowned artists join young pioneers. Split between day and night events, here is just a taster of what to expect this summer.
SÓNAR BY DAY: This year’s Day event includes over 70 activities - live shows, DJ sets, talks, installations, and more - spread over five stages and a variety of spaces at Fira Montjuïc. Performances will come from the likes of Albany, The Blessed Madonna, Bendik Giske, Eliza Rose, KYNE, and Omagoaq, amongst many others.
SÓNAR BY NIGHT: The Night event is a celebration of global electronic music. Held across four stages at Fira Gran Via, from sundown to sunrise, you can experience jaw-dropping live shows, forward-thinking sounds from around the world, and the biggest and best DJs around. Highlights include Aphex Twin, BICEP, Bad Gyal, Peggy Gou, Solomun, Little Simz, and Eric Prydz.
