They were formed in London in 1986 by singer-songwriter Guy Chadwick and lead guitarist Terry Bickers. After rising to prominence in 1987 with their first single "Shine On", they released their critically acclaimed eponymous debut album in 1988 and spent the next few years building up their reputation. They signed with Fontana Records in 1989 and released their second self-titled album in 1990, which peaked at number 8 in the UK albums chart. Their third album, Babe Rainbow (1992), was met with critical acclaim 1992 and was shortly followed by Audience with the Mind (1993).

They had a ten year hiatus before releasing another three albums in the 2000s, their latest being A State of Grace (2022). The group is best known for their psychedelic guitar sound and for hit singles like "Christine" and "Destroy the Heart". Don’t miss them live.
