The Psychedelic Furs
By Charlotte Stace

The Psychedelic Furs return to Barcelona with a live show that revisits the band’s early days and the sounds that have shaped them across four decades.
Founded in 1977 in the London post-punk scene and led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler and his brother Tim, the bassist, the group quickly developed into one of the most important bands of the era. Their music went through several phases, from an art rock beginning towards new wave and hard rock later down the line. They had several hits in their early career, such as Love My Way, The Ghost in You, and Heaven. And, in 1986, filmmaker John Hughes used their song "Pretty in Pink" for his film Pretty in Pink.
They went on hiatus after they finished touring in 1992, but resumed in 2000. They released, Made of Rain, their first studio album in nearly three decades, in 2020 and are back on tour to promote it.
