The War and Treaty

The War and Treaty perform live at La Nau as part of their European tour. The American husband and wife duo, Tanya and Michael Trotter Jr., are known for their unmatchable blend of Southern soul, gospel, country and blues.
Their debut studio album Healing Tide (2018), received critical acclaim and was followed soon afterwards by their second album Hearts Town (2020), which featured a collaboration with singer Emmylou Harris, and spawned the Triple A top 40 hit single "Five More Minutes". In 2022, they signed to UMG Nashville, and released their major label debut Lover's Game (2023). Now, they’re back with their new record, Plus One (2025).
Their sound is both timeless and deeply personal. They take inspiration from classic Americana and address themes of struggle, healing and devotion. Influenced by artists like Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, they bring soul and power to every performance.
