British band The Wombats bring their indie-rock back to Parallel 62, with support from fellow Liverpudlians Red Rum Club. Formed in Liverpool in 2003, the trio - consisting of Matthew “Murph” Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis - became indie-dancefloor favourites with their brilliantly titled early anthem “Let’s Dance to Joy Division.

”Their catalogue runs from the chaotic charm of their debut album, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation (2007), to festival favourites hit songs like “Moving to New York,” “Kill the Director,” “Greek Tragedy” and “Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves).” Their fifth album Fix Yourself, Not the World (2022) became their first No. 1 album, topping the UK Albums Chart within a week of release. They’re back with their most recent album, Oh! The Ocean (2025), which brings out a new sound for the group, mixing big choruses with themes of adulthood and trying to get out of your own head.
