Tom Barford Quintet

Tom Barford brings his quintet to Jamboree with a high-energy take on contemporary jazz. A British tenor saxophonist and winner of the 2017 Kenny Wheeler Jazz Prize, Barford is part of a younger UK jazz generation known for combining a serious technical command of the genre with a lot of groove.
The quintet features Barford on tenor saxophone, James Copus on trumpet, Ivo Neame on piano, Tim Giles on drums and Oli Hayhurst on bass. The group will be presenting music from Live at the Parakeet, their latest record.
Described by Jazzwise as a performance where “joy and musicality intertwine” and which “dazzles and delights”, this is not just a concert, but an exciting live experience that will keep you hooked right from the first bar. Tickets cost 20 Euros and doors open at 7pm.
