American bassist and singer-songwriter, Tonina is known for her multicultural roots - born in San Diego to a Ugandan father and a Sicilian mother, and raised in St. Louis. Her music blends genres like jazz, soul, R&B, classical and Latin, resulting in a sound that is richly layered and unique. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, she’s performed on some of the most prestigious festival stages in the world.

Her discography includes St. Lost (2019), Senti (2022) and Aurelia (2024), each reflecting a strengthening in her ability as both a songwriter and lyricist. She sings in multiple languages - including English, Spanish and Italian - showcasing her ability to connect across cultures.

Called to become one of the leading names in contemporary music, the acclaimed producer Javier Limón once shared: “The moment she opened her mouth, I felt the same as when I first heard Buika or El Cigala.”
