We’re certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to festivals and events over the summer in Barcelona, yet VIDA has become one of summer’s unmissable music festivals thanks to its easygoing energy and dreamy setting.

Although based outside of the city in Vilanova I la Geltrú, it’s well worth the trip. Why Vilanova? The brains behind VIDA want to treat their audience as people, not numbers. To this end, they’ve decided to move the culture away from the city centre, enveloping the festival experience in a natural environment of great beauty, wide and open, comfortable and welcoming for everyone.

The lineup this year includes renowned national artists as well as classic international bands: Vance Joy, James Blake, M.I.A., Paolo Nutini, Black Lips, Ty Segall, Temples, Dolores Forever, Ferran Palau, Lime Garden, and Ralphie Choo.
