Vladimir Ivković is simply one of the most distinctive and respected figures in contemporary underground electronic music, renowned for sets that unfold as psychological journeys, typically over many enveloping hours. Based in Düsseldorf and closely associated with the city’s Salon des Amateurs scene, Ivković has built a reputation on refusing genre boundaries or predictable momentum. His selections roam freely across post-punk, dub, industrial, new wave, experimental electronics and outsider pop, often pulling from obscure or forgotten records.

This somewhat unusual early-evening show is billed as "a 90-minute Weird Listening set that takes his sonic narrative into territories of strangeness and introspection. An open listening experience, somewhere between hypnotic and unpredictable." It comes before Ivkovic plays a more conventional – not that the word "conventional" can ever really be used about him – DJ set at Razzmatazz in the early hours of Sunday, where he will play at Human, with support from Cobrabubble.
