Voices from the Lake

Voices from the Lake is the collaborative project of the storied and venerated Italian producers Donato Dozzy and Neel, and is a partnership that has become synonymous with deep, immersive electronic music that rewards patience and attention. The duo emerged in the early 2010s and carved out a singular space between techno, ambient and dub, favouring slow-burn transitions, rolling low end and a finely tuned sense of atmosphere. They also knocked out one of the best electronic LP of the century so far in their enveloping, quietly psychedelic self-titled album from 2012, which they at long last followed up with the aptly titled and equally wonderful Voices from the Lake II in December.
In a club context, Voices from the Lake are known for extended, fluid journeys that blur the line between DJing and live performance. They play downstairs in Astin, where local talent Kenya Arakama is on warm-up duties, while upstairs in Nitsa there are sets from Pegassi and INEXXSTABLE.
