Warhaus is the solo project of Belgian musician Maarten Devoldere, who began his musical career at the age of 22 as a member of the band Balthazaar. Then, in 2016, he started Warhaus, influenced by the music of Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Serge Gainsbourg.
Warhaus’s debut album, We fucked a flame into being, was released in 2016, followed shortly after by the self-titled Warhaus in 2017. After a long period of touring and a break over the pandemic, he released Ha Ha Heartbreak in 2022. His latest album, Karaoke Moon (2024), marks a new chapter in Warhaus's musical journey. Collaborating with producer Jasper Maekelberg, he explores themes of love, masculinity and self-reflection through a collection of songs that range from intimate ballads to groovy tracks.
