American band Wednesday bring their indie-rock world to Primavera Tours. Theirs is a sound that feels like shoegaze and alt-country colliding on a backroad at dusk: full of noisy guitars and Karly Hartzman’s hyper-specific Southern storytelling. Formed in Asheville, North Carolina in 2017, the band have built a devoted following by making songs that are tender and funny all at once.

Their breakout record Rat Saw God (2023) received critical acclaim and kickstarted their touring. Now they’re back with the newer album Bleeds (2025) released via Dead Oceans. It’s big and bolder and one to check out if you haven’t already. 

This February, they bring Bleeds to Spain with shows in Madrid and Barcelona. It’s a rare chance to catch one of the most interesting American guitar bands right now, right as their new era hits full stride.
