Yaeji / Juliana Huxtable / Dr Rubinstein

Saturday at Nitsa will be one to get down early and really wallow in - there's no word yet on who is playing when, but all three of these women are as unmissable as each other. Yaeji, pictured, is a Korean-American DJ, producer and singer whose own productions and DJ sets pivot on a mixture of house, hip house and electronica. Noted for distilling styles with unusual skill, she radiates authentic self-expression whether she's playing live or DJing, as she will be at Apolo on Saturday.
Juliana Huxtable is an iconic multi-disciplinary artist who was raised in a conservative Baptist household in Texas and has become a strong and frequently sardonic voice in expressing her queer, trans, Black identity. She is also a killer DJ who finds joy in reaching "a kind of ecstatic cutting, chopping, looping and mixing of multiple tracks. If I were to just sit there while the track plays for two minutes I would lose my mind." Dr Rubinstein, meanwhile, has a rock-solid reputation for hard-hitting, seamless sets that focus on techno, rave and acid and is a regular at Berghain, Dekmantel and many more of the world's best clubs and festivals.
