Yumi Zouma

Yumi Zouma are a Christchurch, New Zealand band who formed in 2014, originally writing songs long-distance after members moved abroad - sharing parts and demos online before they were even regularly in the same room. The name comes from two friends who nudged them into making music together, and the project slowly turned into the real thing.
Their catalogue includes their first EPs - I (2014) and II (2015) - which set the template. This is followed by albums Yoncalla (2016), Willowbank (2017), Truth or Consequences (2020) and Present Tense (2022). They’ve also dropped later EPs - III (2018) and IV (2023) - keeping the momentum going.
This tour sits in the context of their newest era following the release of their latest record, No Love Lost to Kindness (2026). The band described ut as a deliberate shift away from their earlier “soft-focus” approach. Catch them live at Sala La Nau.
