Most Barcelona salons want to be seen: plate glass on the street, chairs lined up for the passing audience. Olmos does the opposite. Pep opened the place in Gràcia in 2008 under the name Biyooin and ran it there for the better part of two decades; it now occupies a third-floor flat on Avinguda Diagonal, a block from Casa de les Punxes. You go up to it the way you’d go up to a friend’s apartment.
The move doubles as a redesign, and Pep drew it himself: interior design became his second trade during the covid years, and this room is what came of it. His own summary of the salon is música, interiorismo y peluquería – music, interiors and hairdressing – with a coffee in hand while the two of you work out what you actually want. The training behind the scissors is less freewheeling, learned in the city’s serious salons and in the classrooms of the big international brands.
Men’s cuts start around €40 and women’s from €55; a cut with color runs near €100, with highlights and keratin treatments above that. Olmos keeps weekday hours only, so book it into your working week and call ahead. The door is a flat door, not a shopfront.
