Barcelona Marathon 2026
By Charlotte Stace

The Barcelona Marathon returns to celebrate another year of running. It’s a fast, fully urban route that sells itself on spectacle as much as speed: Gaudí’s modernist heritage, the Eixample grid, and landmark moments that keep your head up even when your legs want to quit. The organisers promise a new circuit that’s “faster, more central, monumental and lively,” with the start line on Passeig de Gràcia.
If you’re trying to get in for 2026: it’s officially sold out, but there’s an official marketplace where runners can resell their bibs securely to others. So, you may get the chance to run if you get there early. But whether you intend on running or not, it’s worth heading down to various parts of the route to soak up that race day atmosphere. It’s a feel-good day whether you’re taking part or cheering on from the sidelines.
