"Cinematic" is a word that follows the Austrian duo Cari Cari around, and not just because they apparently formed with the aim of getting their music into a Quentin Tarantino film. Stephanie Widmer (vocals, drums, didgeridoo) and Alexander Köck (vocals, guitar) emerged as Cari Cari around a decade ago in possession of a stunningly fully realised aesthetic evoking imagined landscapes of the kind found in Morricone Westerns, David Lynch's dream sequences and 1970s counterculture, brought into a 21st-century indie context.

 If that all sounds like too elaborate a premise for you, don't worry: the tunes are fabulous neo-psychedelic treats blending twangy desert rock with analogue ambience and smoky, retro-leaning pop. This show finds them touring their accomplished, atmospheric third LP, One More Trip Around The Sun.
