Formed in Paris in 2003 by American sisters Bianca Casady and Sierra Casady, CocoRosie are widely recognised as one of the most distinctive acts to emerge from the independent music landscape this century. The pair quickly gained attention for a sound that seemed to exist outside conventional genre boundaries and which combines folk, pop, opera, hip-hop and electronic elements, often incorporating toy instruments, found sounds and unconventional production techniques. The result is a sometimes dreamy, sometimes unsettling style that has attracted a devoted following around the world.

Across wondrous LPs including La Maison de Mon Rêve, Noah's Ark and Grey Oceans, the duo have developed a reputation for balancing childlike wonder with darker themes of identity, family, femininity and social critique. This show is part of a major tour to promote last year's Little Death Wishes, which is very much a continuation of that stellar tradition.
