Calling all designers - contraforma[F]barcelona is a community meetup for typography and letter-lovers, bringing designers, students and anyone who’s curious together for talks and conversation at BAU in Poblenou. It’s an easy, social way to “talk letters” while building local creative connections.

This edition features two complementary perspectives. Firstly, Veronika Burian (co-founder/director of TypeTogether) presents Futura®100, a centenary expansion of Paul Renner’s classic Futura, developed with Bauer Types, extending the family across 21 writing systems to support global, culturally sensitive communication.

Then Marco Rollo (graphic design, type, and motion) shares how he fell for letterforms - linking his first retail typeface release with Type01 to identity projects where custom typography becomes the “lead visual” for branding and storytelling. 

Talks are in English and Spanish, and the evening includes a beer courtesy of Àguila.
