Dnit: Suso Saiz & Perila
By Kit Macdonald

Caixaforum's long-running Dnit series is a treasure of the city – a monthly chance to catch some fascinating live experimental music at a flat rate of €10 per ticket, no matter who the artist or artists involved are. October's event brings the legendary Suso Saiz and the enigmatic Perila play live together for the first time. And if you think time isn't going to dilate and sonic matter isn't going to become a living organism, you've got another thing coming.
In their own words, Saiz and Perila will "open a portal to deep and transformative listening. In this unprecedented collaboration, time dilates and sonic matter becomes a living, breathing organism amid acoustic textures, field recordings, emotional drones and whispered voices." Opening at this, the first show of Dnit's winter season, will be Melina Serser, a fascinating Uruguayan sound alchemist based in Barcelona. She plays from 8pm in the cafeteria, and the main event starts at 9pm in the auditorium.
