The Gypsy Blue quartet explore the language of manouche (or “gypsy”) jazz inspired by Romani guitarist Jean “Django” Reinhardt, the figure who genre's defining figure from a 1930s Paris. Founded in 2018 in Barcelona, Gypsy Blue is Gabriel Fortunato (clarinet and sax), Bruno Butenas (electric guitar), Ramiro Pinheiro (acoustic guitar ) and Cesar Vasconcelos (upright bass).
