A delightfully northern-European, down-to-earth touch in the biography of Jaakko Eino Kalevi is that he worked as a tram driver in Finland's capital for several years before going full-time as a musician. The Helsinki Regional Transport Authority's loss has been music's gain, with Kalevi building an impressive body of work since the late naughties that blends styles as diverse as synth-pop, funk, jazz and electronica and influences including Arthur Russell, Prince and Steely Dan.

Starting in 2007 he released several records on the small Helsinki indie-folk label Helmi Levyt before his self-titled 2015 album for the Domino sub-label Weird World brought him to much-deserved wider public attention. Expect this live show to be an intimate yet expansive pre-Christmas treat that distills his multi-instrumentalist chops, his intriguing, androgynous vocals and his deliciously eccentric personality.
