A poet, musician, DJ and all-round fabulous creative force, James Massiah's work moves with ease between literary performance and the dancefloor. Drawing on his upbringing in the church, he brings a preacher’s cadence and a fascination with rhythm to writing that explores desire, faith, identity and the contradictions of contemporary life. 

His work resists categorisation, shifting between spoken-word poetry, understated rap and electronic music.His many collaborations have included playing the role of a rapper in Dean Blunt’s Babyfather project, while his work as a DJ and producer connects him to London’s experimental club scene. Recent releases such as Bounty Law and Contact High have continued his exploration of rap and electronic music, and this debut live show in Barcelona is likely to pivot on that side of his boundless creativity.
