Japanese cultural exports, especially manga, anime and a number of video games, have gained massive worldwide popularity in recent years. And to celebrate the wonderful world of Japanese pop culture, there’s an exciting new event coming to Spain.
Japan Weekend Barcelona brings a whole host of activities, such as conferences, talks and exhibitions, centred on all things Japanese culture with a special focus on manga and anime. Held at the Fira Barcelona on Gran Via, attendees will have the opportunity to meet a range of guests and soak up the wacky and wonderful atmosphere.
So, who will you be able to see? This year’s guests include Jaume Mallofre (voice actor), Isiliel (Cosplayer), Haruna Luna (singer and model), Tasia (illustrator), yuugen (DJ), and Laia Lopez (illustrator), amongst many others. So if you’re a fan of all things Japan, make sure to get down there and enjoy what’s on offer. Tickets start at 16 Euros.
