Immerse yourself in the land of the rising sun this Sunday, January 19th at this Japanese New Year party, a celebration of all things Japanese, as well as the arrival of the new year. Highlights will include delicious, traditional food and a thrilling Japanese wadaiko drums performance.

The event is organized by Suiyokai, an association of Japanese businesses in Catalunya, and Casa Nippon, an association dedicated to Japanese culture, with support from the Japanese consulate, and is held at the Japanese School in Barcelona in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The school does not have parking for visitors, so head to the Sant Joan FGC station (Line S2), where you can use the free bus service provided by the festival organizers.

Tickets can be bought from a number of Japanese stores (see their website) and are €5 in advance, which includes a free drink. Alternatively, you can purchase one on the day for €10. Children under six enter for free.
