La Mercè 10k Run

Just when you thought La Mercè was all about music, fireworks and parades, the city laces up its trainers for the La Mercè 10km Run. With a refreshed, circular route for 2025, runners will race through some of Barcelona’s most emblematic neighbourhoods and along its scenic coastline, finishing in the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
The event isn’t just for seasoned athletes. Alongside the main 10km, there’s a 2km race for people with reduced mobility, and a shorter family run designed to be fun and accessible for all ages. A free childcare service is also available, ensuring everyone has the chance to take part in the day.
This year, the race will be raising money for the Alzheimer Catalunya Foundation, a charity that offers support to individuals and families in the region affected by this Alzheimer's. If you want to have fun and support a good cause, make sure to get this one in your diary.
