Llum BCN is Barcelona’s after-dark light arts takeover - a city-scale playground where streets, façades and hidden corners become the canvas. Organised by the City Council, it treats light as a full creative language, mixing photography, audiovisual work, design, architecture, digital arts and contemporary art to transform public space into a work of art.

You’ll get to see immersive installations by international creators sitting alongside projects from Barcelona’s design, art and architecture schools, plus works by local artists-in-residence from Poblenou. You don’t need to follow an itinerary, you can just drift toward whatever glow pulls you in next.

There’ll be 12 installations by internationally renowned artists and 18 from the city’s university schools. Key highlights come from the filmmaker Albert Serra (with the sponsorship of the ISE Fair) and the artist Laia Estruch (with the collaboration of Benito). Also noteworthy is the installation of the creative Studio MO:YA, made up of Roland Mariacher and Werner Huber.
