Maig
By Charlotte Stace

MAIG is part of a new generation of Catalan pop artists shaping a more intimate and direct sound. She fits within a lineage of younger artists for whom names like Julieta, Lorde, Billie Eilish and Rosalía are reference points, which gives a good sense of where her music sits. It’s contemporary, confessional and plugged into both local and international pop language.
What makes her interesting is that she seems to be building that voice on her own terms. Rather than leaning into a big pop persona, the appeal is more in the closeness of her work: songs shaped by youth, feeling and a recognisably current emotional world. For anyone keeping an eye on emerging Catalan pop, MAIG looks like a name worth knowing now rather than later.
Tickets cost 11 Euros. Doors open at 8pm.
