Revetlla de Cap d'Any w. Josep Xortó
By Kit Macdonald

There are plenty of big-ticket New Year's Eve club nights to choose from this Wednesday, but our pick of the less obvious ones is Revetlla de Cap d'Any with Josep Xortó at Sala Taro.
Xortó was one of the founders of the acclaimed Glove Party, which last year celebrated 10 years as the cornerstone of queer clubbing in the city. As another member of the operation said in a feature celebrating the anniversary: “Out of necessity within Barcelona’s club scene in 2014, we took action and pioneered our “disco-only” party – a concept previously absent in the city. We brought decorations, toys, and other playful elements for the crowd, along with upbeat disco music to kickstart a new adventure. As our budget grew, we began inviting performers and dancers, mostly friends or individuals from the crowd, further developing our vision for the party, which attracted people of all genders and backgrounds.
”Xortó will be bringing this spirit to his solo set at Taro, which begins at half past midnight – ring in the New Year nearby and then get down to Taro for a first big dance of 2026.
