More than two decades of relentless studio work under various aliases has endowed the Leeds-born DJ and producer Paul Woolford with a dizzyingly massive discography of original work, not to mention countless lauded remixes and production credits on the music of others. His work as Special Request, the alias and musical identity that has dominated his life in recent years, pivots on retro hardcore, jungle and breakbeat, but has also taken him down many unexpected musical side-streets over the years, just as you'd expect from such a restless and inspired creative soul. 

Woolford learned his trade as a DJ at Leeds' legendary Back To Basics night before securing a long-running residency at We Love Space in Ibiza and making a seminal contribution to the DJ-Kicks series in 2021. 

His touring schedule remains eye-popping, as, thankfully, do his energy levels.
