Galway-bred, London-based band The Clockworks come to Razzmatazz this month. After touring the UK in 2022, the band decided to jump back into the studio and record an album. Influenced by narratives framed through media such as Pulp Fiction and Fleabag, their debut album Exist Strategy (2023) came into being.

Released independently on their own Life And Times Recordings label, the record is a thirteen-song labour of love, recorded at Abbey Road and Love Electric studios, with the help of Bernard Butler on production. James McGregor, the band’s singer and guitarist, said of the record: "We were always sure that we wanted the album to be greater than the sum of its parts, so we decided to create the world of a film, titled "Exit Strategy". We conceived the album as a series of snapshots, telling the story of a group of characters trying to navigate life."

Don’t miss them performing live. Tickets on sale now.
