The crab apples
By Charlotte Stace
Indie pop-rock band, The Crab Apples, come to Razzmatazz. Formed by three best friends from a small town just outside Barcelona, they began writing and recording music together while they were still in high school. A decade later, they’re performing sold out concerts and touring with their latest record, Ojala (2024).
The girls - Carla Gimeno (vocals), Laia Alsina (electric guitar) and Laia Martí (bass) - have released three albums and several EPs to date. They explore a whole host of different sounds in their work - producing something that is almost magical, between light and darkness, sensual and elegant, with pop at its core.
They’ve toured the world, participating in festivals and sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in music such as Warpaint, The Beach Boys, Nada Surf, Lola Marsh and Sidonie. Don’t miss them performing live in their hometown.
