Hailing from New York, the band The Pains of Being Pure at Heart is reuniting with its original lineup for the first time since wrapping up the tour for their second album Belong in 2011. This long-awaited return also marks the revival of the group after showing no signs of life since late 2019. Their signature romantic “noise-pop”, defined by swirling, neurotic guitar fuzz and deep emotional resonance, remains timeless and harks back to bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Black Tambourine and The Smiths.

Joining them on their tour is Fuerteventura-born Cristina Quesada. A longtime Elefant Records artist, she’s released three albums to date: You Are the One (2015), Think I Heard a Rumour (2019) and Dentro al tuo sogno (2022), as well as several EPs. Her eclectic pop blends chanson, eurodisco (with a love for Italy) and J-pop, influenced by her sister’s love for Los Flechazos, Los Fresones Rebeldes and La Casa Azul. Tickets on sale now.
