The Southern River Band

Hailing from Perth, The Southern River Band comes to Razzmatazz. Formed in 2013, they’ve built a reputation the old-fashioned way - touring hard, writing bar-room anthems, and turning every show into a night to remember. The current lineup is Cal Kramer (vocals/guitar), Dan Carroll (guitar), Pat Smith (bass) and Tyler “The Hawk” Michie (drums).
Musically, think AC/DC-like riffs, glam rock swagger and big choruses - a bit like the classic Aussie rock of times gone by (Kramer’s heroes are often cited as Cold Chisel, AC/DC and The Angels). Their records trace their evolution: Live at the Pleasuredome (2016) captured their early energy, Rumour & Innuendo (2019) sharpened the songwriting, and the live release Greatest Hits - Live from RADA Studios (2022) doubled down on their onstage power. In 2024 they dropped D.I.Y., their first album to break into the ARIA Top 50; and their most recent, Easier Said Than Done (2025) pushed even higher (ARIA #16).
