British rock band The Wave Pictures comes to Razzmatazz to play some of their greatest hits and newest music for fans. Their discography is predominantly composed of lo-fi rock filled with an attitude that defies following trends. They take their inspiration from bands such as The Smiths and the D.I.Y. aesthetic of the C-86 school. 

The group began its career in a small village in Leicestershire in 1998. Made up of lead singer and guitarist David Tattershall, bassist Franic Rozycki and drummer Jonny Helm, the trio hasn’t stopped since their formation. Although coming together in the late 1990s, it wasn’t until 2009 that they released their first full length studio album entitled If You Leave It Alone. An impressive 11 studio albums later, we have their most recent release in When The Purple Emperor Spreads His Wings (2022).
