Two Years of Human Club
By Kit Macdonald
Human Club celebrates two years of cutting-edge electronic fun with a close to 12-hour celebration across two venues that verges on being a mini-festival. The festivities open on an ambient foot at 6pm at Casa Montjuic, where the star attraction is the prolific and endlessly talented Scottish producer Lord of the Isles, who will play an hour-long ambient set. Aho Ssan & Sevi Iko Dømochevsky close the Casa Montjuic part with a love set that we can only hope will closely resemble their beautiful FACT mix from last year (https://tinyurl.com/5588dr6d).
Then it's all over to Poble Nou for the main, and decidedly non-ambient, section of the party. A barely believable trio of CCL, Objekt and Skee Mask play one after the other in Human, while in Lolita Dead Tongues, beloved early-90s Warp producer Higher Intelligence Agency, Djohnston and Umfang bring the heat. The only problem will be potentially crippling FOMO about what's happening in the room you're not in.
