French singer Zaz has become one of Europe’s most distinctive contemporary voices, blending chanson française with elements of jazz, pop and gypsy swing. She rose to fame with her 2010 hit “Je veux,” captivating audiences with her raspy, soulful tone and poetic lyrics. She’s influenced by an eclectic mix of music, from the 'Four Seasons' by Vivaldi to jazz singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, as well as African, Latin and Cuban rhythms.
Over the past decade, she’s released several acclaimed albums, including Recto Verso (2013), Effet miroir (2018), and Isa (2021). Going from strength to strength, she’s evolved into one of France’s most recognisable voices, performing at major festivals across the world and earning nominations for some of music’s biggest awards.
